I was suprised by this myself. I've known Jacob for about a year now and he is a great guy. Very professional. I think it was the alcohol, because he doesn't act like this, not cocky, very good natured. I think he's just one of those guys that has to stay away from alcohol because it changes his personality too much. Unfortunately, this is how some guys learn it. I hope Roufus Sport would consider taking him back at some time in the future. He has the potential to be a really good fighter. - Paul Kramer

Wow. Jake has fought for me several times and I've always viewed him as one of the more professional guys I've dealt with. Never had an issue with him. I was totally shocked reading this. I feel bad for Jake, ECO, & Roufusport, one night of bad judgement causes a ton of problems that last a long time. I hope he gets some help and gets things sorted out. He will have to work hard to gain everyone's trust back. - Corey Christophersen

My opinion: Everyone makes mistakes. I've never met Jake, but I'm sure that alcohol played a large part...we've all fallen into bad situations because of booze, but the way to rebound is by showing your true character. I believe that Jake has hit an unexpected rough patch, but he can prove his real character. I'm ready to see the real Jake. - Paul Fladten

Lot of guys doing dumb stuff this year, this still is not as bad as the things Kleiman and Goodman have been accused of but a black eye none the less. - Nate Schafer
