I dont think so, fight card of the year was a fight card that was action packed from start to finish. I think matchmaker of the year would go to someone that puts together more than one great fight card, but all or multiple cards. Maybe thats just me though.

It would have to go to O'Malley then, although there is far too much Milwaukee nutriding by these reporters so it would go to Duke.

Guys, what I really wanna know is how can we vote if we haven't seen the fight???? We should really be able to watch the videos of each fight!! I mean most of these fights or fighters nominated have no videos. I'm pretty sure they were recorded so why can't we view them to make a fair decision? I think if your haven't viewed every nomination you can't really vote, because how are you supposed to vote if that something is the best when you have never even seen it and have no clue about it??? Otherwise your just going to get locals or friends voting for friends.

John, seems to me you should vote for the fights/fighters you have seen and were impressed by. no show is going to post their videos for the sake of voting. Come see the fights if you want to get a taste for what's out there. We use to stream our videos on WCS but it became too cost intensive for us. The idea is to support the sport and see some shows.

I agree Pat. Vote for your favorite fighter. Your obviously a fan if your on this site so you must follow someone. If hes not on this list then Im sure you have seen someone who is, fight before. These are the best of the best in the state so if you havent seen one of them fight, just a buddy who goes to shows and Im sure he/she can tell you.

"Nutriding"
Thanks for the Fight Card of the Year nod Ron, but Mike Carbajal has been matchmaking our shows for the past year or so, not Duke.

Of course, we have final approval of all bouts, but Mike is the one that's in the trenches on a daily basis, dealing with all the BS so we don't have to. I always say, matchmaking is the HARDEST part of promoting a show. Duke did a great job at it and now Mike is at the helm and so far he's doing a great job.

I agree with Pat, attend MMA shows in your area and/or travel to other cities if possible. Try and get a taste for what's out there and show your support for MMA fighters and matchmakers/promoters who are working very hard on a daily basis at perfecting their craft, so they can put on a great show for you, the fan.

I hope fans realize that regardless of who wins, there are some very, very good fight cards being produced in Wisconsin by some very hard working people. Thank you WCS for showcasing them through the "Best Of Awards" for the third straight year.

You are all winners in my book.

Here's to an even better 2010... (and equal nutriding for all!!)
