On Halloween night, KTK will host its 29th show KTK 29:Halloween Havoc. Along with the Befera and Sitsler title matchup, middleweight champion Dave Kleczkowski will defend his belt against Chuck Gruber.
Bantamweight Championship
In the night’s main event, Ken “Skenny Evil” Sitsler will look to begin a new winning streak against Chris “Swiss” Befera. The KTK champion is coming off of an August loss to Roufusport’s Chico “King” Camus.
The Rising Son MMA fighter has a professional record of 3-2. Besides his most recent loss, Sitsler had been undefeated since January of 2007. He has victories over John Hering, Randy Ronchi, and Paul Schubert.
After his loss to Camus, Sitsler vowed to incorporate more weight training into his regimen. Three weeks prior to his bout with Camus, the lanky Sitsler was forced to abandon the weights due to an injury.
“Three weeks before my fight with Chico I got my arm popped in an americana,” said Sitsler. “That is in no means an excuse. But I had to cut out the weights after the injury. For this fight, I pushed harder on the weights this time.”
Standing at 6’1”, any additional muscle mass to the lean frame of Sitsler could prove problematic in his ability to remain at 135 pounds. But if properly managed, the added strength could render Sitsler dominant in the bantamweight division.
While Sitsler will be entering the contest with a recent loss, his opponent Chris “Swiss” Befera is currently riding an impressive six fight win streak. Already owning victories over Jake Omen, Derek Abram and Brian Learn, Befera will look to add Sitsler’s name to the list.
In an attempt to neutralize Sitsler’s size advantage, Befera recently told Wisconsin Combat Sports that he must keep constant pressure on his opponent in order to secure a win.
“He’s quite a bit taller than me,” said Befera. “So I’m going to have stay inside of him to keep him pressured and keep him from kicking my head off probably. He’s got the reach and the legs, so I have to keep him backing up.”
Middleweight Championship
The night’s co-main event will feature a middleweight title bout between Dave “The Polish Punisher” Kleczkowski and Chuck Gruber.
With signature victories over Pat O’Malley, Ron Faircloth, and Jordan Fass, Kleczkowski has solidified himself as Wisconsin’s top rated middleweight. A win over Chuck Gruber would even further supplant the Roufusport fighter has the state’s best.
According to Sherdog, “The Polish Punisher” has a professional record of 10-5. He has won five of his last six fights, with the most recent victory coming over O’Malley in May.
Gruber, who is 2-0 according to Sherdog, trains out of Fox Valley Grappling Club in Appleton. He holds victories over Kyle Denmars and Karl “Robocop” Turek. Kleczkowski will be the biggest challenge of his career.
“Halloween Havoc” will feature a number of other matches on Saturday night. The event will be held at the Ramada in Stevens Point. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the fights will begin at 7 p.m.

With Cameron Befort’s knockout of Steve Gibson still fresh in the minds of fans, Konquer the Kage returns this Saturday just two weeks after the last show; a bantamweight title bout between Ken Sitsler and Chris Befera will headline the action.
