joeblakektk24In what many are considering the most stacked MMA card of the year in Wisconsin, Gladiators Fighting "Fair Warning" will take place at the Time Warner Cable Main Stage at the Wisconsin State Fair on Saturday, August 15; a total of seven different championships will be on the line.

Over the course of the night a new Gladiators Interim Featherweight champion, a new Welterweight champion, and a new Bantamweight Champion will all be crowned.

Originally, the card pitted featherweight champ Mark Severtson against Joe Blake, but Severtson was forced to pull out due to injury. But with less than a week's notice, Wisconsin Cage Fighting's amateur champion Nick Dupees has decided to start off his professional career with a title bout on the big stage.

Bantamweight Title Bout

The night's main event will feature two of the state's top bantamweights. Chico "King" Camus, fighting out of Roufusport with a professional record of 3-1, is confident that he will win his third straight fight on Saturday.

"Ken is a good fighter, but he has not fought anyone like me yet," Camus said. "I think it's going to be a great fight, and August 15th I will be the new bantamweight champ."

Like Camus, Ken "Skinny Evil" Sitsler will also be looking to keep his winning streak alive. The tall and lanky KTK champion has won his past three fights decisively. Sitsler, who trains with Lah Thao at Rising Son MMA in Wausau, is also confident for the upcoming fight.

"My prediction is that I'm going to win," Sitsler confidently stated. "I don't want to get into details but it's going to be a knockout or submission. It's definitely not going to go to the end. I'd like to catch him in a choke. I keep picturing a knockout or a choke."

Welterweight Championship Fight

Also on the agenda for Saturday will be a fight between Gerald Meerschaert and Jake Kuester. The fight will be very important for both fighters, because each is looking to rebound from recent losses.

Meerschaert, who trains at Agallar Combative Systems, will be looking to improve on his 7-4 record at the Time Warner Cable Main Stage. Although he has lost his last two fights due to submission in the first round, he is confident that his recent training will give him an edge on Saturday.

"I feel the strongest I've ever felt," Meerschaert said. "I feel in the best shape I've ever been in, I feel ready...I've been working on my wrestling, I'm really trying to focus on my straight wrestling."

His opponent, Jake "The Enforcer" Kuester is looking to get back on track following a loss to Kevin Knabijian in July of 2008. According to Sherdog, the Roufusport fighter will be bringing an 8-3 record along with him into the ring. Of his eight wins, Kuester has finished seven of his opponents in the first round.

Interim Featherweight Championship

The last remaining Gladiators Fighting championship on the line will now be an interim title fight after champion Mark Severtson was dropped from the card due to injury. On short notice, Team Ruff Dawg's Nick Dupees will make his professional debut against Wisconsin's top ranked featherweight Joe Blake.

Blake, who trains at Waukesha MMA, will look to improve his undefeated record to 4-0 against Dupees. Blake's most recent victory came in the form of a rear-naked choke in February at KTK 24 against Austin Judge.

Wisconsin Cage Fighting Championships

Along with the three Gladiator titles, four different Wisconsin Cage Fighting championships will be on the line.

Chris Beck (Ruff Dawg MMA) will meet Eric "Money bags"Adamany (Evolution MMA) for the flyweight championship. The WCF middleweight championship will be up for grabs when Lemetra Griffin (Knockout Gym) fights "Dangerous" Don Krenzien (Roufusport).

Kyle Blair (Oshkosh MMA) will take on Scott "Scottish Grappler" Seivewright (Roufusport) for the lightweight championship, and Richard Ryan (Waukesha MMA) will fight Andrew Trace (Ruff Dawg) for the WCF welterweight championship.

Besides the seven title fights that will take place on Saturday, Anthony "School Boy" Carrasco, Sergio "The Phenom" Pettis, Chris Jackson, Ricky "The Wart" Dubiak, Dan "Hitman" Brown, and Jordan Winski will also compete on the card.

With the amount of talent that has been assembled for this Saturday, Gladiators Fighting "Fair Warning" has the potential to challenge for Wisconsin's card of the year.

He dropped again!
It would appear that Mark Severtsen continues to not defend his t*tle. It seems there are a numerous amount of excuses for him not to fight. Finally someone who is willing to fight for the t*tle will be fighting. You can not win a belt and then not defend it. I saw the Severtsen vs. Schaumberg fight from cageside and Severtsen had won it fair and square, now DEFEND it or give it to someone who will.

Why is this dude trying to call out Warfield when he can't even defend his own belt? And I guarantee he will find a way out of a fight with Warfield but if he doesn't I think he will probably get knocked into retirement after Warfield puts hands on him.

I never backed out before, Duke always called me and changed the date, I got hurt this time. I will defend my belt. I want to fight Warfield cause he's the best, if you want to be the best, fight the best! Nobody else is calling him out, So I will move up a cla*s to fight him. I have students to train for MMA, Jiu-Jitsu and myself, it's tough and I got hurt, why is everyone busting my chops?

If that is the case Severtson than I wish you a speedy recovery. Keep teaching your cla*s and focus on that right now. And I do take my hat off to you for stepping up to fight me. But I am the peoples champ and you heard what they said that night. I can't let my fans down so I'm gonna hand you a pillow and put you to sleep. Once again I do give you props for stepping up. And to Nick Dupees and Joe Blake I wish you both the best of luck. May the best man win. smilies/grin.gif

I think we are all "picking" on you because we find it difficult to swallow the fact that you won your t*tle in the beginning of DECEMBER 2008 and have never defended it! How can you put this all on Gladiators and Duke Roufus when they have put on so many shows since then. As far as the Warfield fight there isn't a fan or athlete in this state that does not know how that will end!

Well I can't tell duke how to run his show, maybe you can ask duke why? I can't say " NO DUKE I am fighting " so Joe and I kept getting moved back, I got hurt, so we are on for the Nov show. Everyone thought I would lose to Gary too. OCT 17th will be here soon, we'll see who walks out with that belt!!
Mr: Warfield you better pack a dinner, cause it's gonna be a long night!!

Severtson: I guess part of your injury must have been you falling down and busting your head. What psychic did you call that said we were going the distance. I will spend more time in the drive thru at KFC ordering a $5 fill up box then I will in this fight. And Gary is a good fighter, that was a good win, but NEWS FLASH I am not Gary. I don't underestimate no man, woman, or child. In the cage I treat everyone like I am fighting Mike Tyson. Come on Wisconsin, how many people want to see me put him away! Wisconsin I am going to show you how to beat a badger back into his hole. smilies/grin.gif

I never said it would go the distance, I think I'll tighten you up in rd #4, when you're tired and wish you were back in that KFC line eatin a chix snacker. If you think it's going to the Judges, well you better shake your magic Eight ball again. I heard the crowd that night also and all six of your fans cheered for ya, Now it's time Madison has a real Champ!!

Severston: man you have lost your mind if you think we will go to rd#4.Come on you took Dukes belt and ran off with it and wont even fight to defend it.By the time you fight on his show again you would have run for a whole year.So theres no way I will let you take my s**t from me .You better be happy I let you hold it that night in the cage, thats the best it gets for you. I dont care if it was six or two fans cheering me on, the point is I am going to get off in your a*s like a thong. I have never wanted to K.O someone so bad before in my life. Please don't take me beating on you personal, its what I do. I would love to keep writing you back, but I have to go train. By the way can I get one of your Badger t-shirts, I need a new rag to clean my car. smilies/grin.gifsmilies/wink.gif

Yes sir you can have a shirt, I got new ones printed out that read " Severtson vs War"failed" , As for knocking me out, give that dream up, cause what you want and get are two different things, I'm not gonna take your belt, I'm gonna earn it, and can't wait for you to hand it over to me.
