jimmyzidekOn Saturday, August 8, Stock's Harley Davidson in Manitowoc will play host to Caged Kombat Championship; the event will consist of 16 total fights, two of which will be professional.

Each one of the night's bouts will feature one fighter from Manitowoc's own Metz Combat Club. Owner and instructor Paul Metz sees this as an opportunity to find where his students stand.

"Half of the card is going to be fighters from my gym," Metz said. "There will be fighters from all over Wisconsin, Minnesota, and even a fighter from Georgia who will be on the card. It will really be Manitowoc versus the world."

Two professional fights will be showcased on Saturday. The night's main event will feature striker Will Dicke from Manitowoc against Superior's Cully Butterfield (Itaska Fight Club).

Main Event

Dicke, who owns a professional record of 2-1, is ready to continue his winning ways. Dicke is coming off a first round knockout of Todd Raymond (Army Combatives) at Madtown Throwdown on August 1.

"I can't wait to get back in that cage," Dicke said. "I had a big win last Saturday, and I'm in another must win situation this Saturday. If I push the pace I could probably get a first round knockout, but if I play it smart I will get it in the third. It's all about winning that fight."

While Will admittedly does not know too much about his opponent, he says that it will not matter come fight time.

"I only know that Butterfield is a wrestler, but frankly I don't care. After my only loss (to Mark Honnegar) I have been getting better each day. On Saturday, I'm going to go in there and put on a show for the fans. It's going to be exciting."

Zidek vs. Ronchi

Also on this weekend's card will be a professional bout between Metz's Jimmy "Daywalker" Zidek and Superior's Wes Ronchi (Itaska Fight Club). After an extremely close split decision loss to David Hipke at King of the Cage in July, Zidek is looking to avoid his third straight loss.

"In this fight I'm looking forward to pushing the pace more. My conditioning was a little off during my last fight so I've been working on staying fit and improving my striking. Last time I held back a little bit and didn't look for a knockout or submission. In this one I'm going to go all out."

Along with the two professional fights, the card will consist of another 14 amateur bouts. Each battle will take place at Stock's Harley Davidson's outdoor venue. Former Green Bay Packer Tim Harris will also be at the event to raise money for Children's Hospital.

The gate will open at 3 p.m. and the fights will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Hey Paul, Todd Raymond isn't a member of Chosen Few. He reps Army Combatives.

A great big thank you!
I would like to thank everyone who helped out in filling this fight card. It is always a challenge to put together a strong card for the fans, especially with the last minute drops and challenges that arrise. Many gyms and promoters have stepped up to help fill some holes and it won't be forgotten. I look forward to a great afternoon of action and a long lasting relationship with all of you. Hope to see you there!
