... LaSavage got manhandled by a guy from Strasser's Freestyle Academy in Waukegan, Illinois. There was no feeling out process whatsoever; he threw one punch that missed and was immediately slammed to the canvas by Figueroa, LaSavage missed the guillotine attempt on the way down. He then took about 25 unanswered shots (some which were very heavy) from the bottom. He was able to get wrist control and slow the punishment momentarily, got an upkick from guard to land and was able to scramble back to the feet where he pushed Figueroa against the cage. As LaSavage attempted the takedown, Figueroa continued to pepper him with arm punches and it was apparent that there was no way LaSavage was going to take down a bigger, stronger, faster wrestler and that he should've turned it into a standup fight. LaSavage ended up with double underhooks against the cage, attempted to get the back while standing and ended up finding himself on the bottom in turtle position taking shots, he got his guard back while taking more shots. He attempted an arm bar which was shook off and took about another half dozen unanswered shots before turtling up and rolling into an ankle lock. Figueroa quickly escaped and got full mount, LaSavage tried to turtle and gave up his back and was flattened out. He then took 32 unanswered shots while offering no attempt to escape or improve position before referee Al Wichers was forced to stop the bout. LaSavage never landed a single strike that I saw other than the upkick.nnI'm sure the talented writers here at WCS will have the other fight descriptions up in a reasonable time frame for you to read about.nn |

sweet Way to bring it Pat. You trained hard and I knew you were ready. Also, congrats to Ismael, just met you last week but its good to see you do well. LaSavage is a tough opponent for anyone to take on, much less on short notice. |

... I'd also like to say congrats to O'Malley. I spent most of the night in the far back with his fan club. The three to four that I talked with were some of the nicest people I've met at a show, real good people. |

... Danny Downes really put a beaten on Jake Omen. Is Jake alright? Jake showed he is one tough S.O.B. Danny showed awesome Muay Thai. I enjoyed all the fights. |

... Hey Mark, I think it was just luck of the draw haha. Nate those guys have supported the whole team for years, always at the Madtown fights - good guys. Danny Downes is a frickin killer. That kid is gonna be a monster. Would love to get him on our show. |

... Thanks for the kind words Pat -- always glad to put on a show. I'll give Jake a lot of credit for coming back out that second round. I was starting to run out of things to throw at him. I hope he's ok. A |

... Yeah, Danny Boy definately gave Jake a beating, but damn, Jake has a lot of heart. I was impressed with Jake staying in there, and equally impressed with Danny Boy's striking. It was a great fight to watch. |

... Jake is fine, he was a little black and blue the next day but was right back to training, he learned alot from the fight. Nicely done job by Danny, he def played his game in there and for that we give him credit. Great fight overall and congrats on the victory. |
