UFC veteran and Roufusport fighter Eric "Ravishing Red" Schafer announced last night that he will fight on Saturday, Jan. 17 at UFC 93: Franklin vs. Henderson in Dublin, Ireland. He will take on Europe Top Team's Antonio "Samuray" Mendes. The announcement was made during an intermission at Gladiators Cage Fighting: More Season's Beatings at the Milwaukee Harley-Davidson Dealership Showroom in Milwaukee, WI.

Schafer (10-3-2*) is currently 2-2 in the UFC. He most recently submitted Houston Alexander at UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs. Neer in September.

Mendes (15-3-0*) lost his last bout to rising star Thiago Silva at UFC 84.
